• What is home care?
  Home care offers seniors and the disabled non-medical assistance which allows them to live independently in the comfort of their own home. Some examples of the care provided can be activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, companionship, continence care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, toileting, or transferring, etc...
• Where do you provide services?

  Our office is located in  the heart of Salt Lake County but our service area covers the entire Wasatch Front including Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties.

• What qualifications and experience do you require of your caregivers?

  All of our employees are carefully screened by our thorough 9 step hiring process. All caregivers must have current up-to-date certifications, must pass rigorous federal background screenings and clearances, and have had at least two years of prior home care experience.

• Are there Veterans' benefits available that can help with the Cost of Home Care?

  Yes, there is a benefit through the Veterans Administration called the Aid and Attendance Benefit; this will typically cover the cost of home care. Contact us and we can walk you through the process to assure that you meet the qualifications.

• How are your caregivers supervised?

  All caregivers are carefully supervised by a registered nurse who has over 30 years of nursing experience. During employment at Beehive Senior Care there will be unscheduled and scheduled supervisory visits to assess how the caregiver uses the skills and techniques taught in orientation, how well the caregiver follows the plan of care, and how the caregiver is interacting with the client.

• How do out-of-town family members stay updated on their loved one's care?

  Beehive Senior Care has an innovative scheduling system which allows the family to view the care notes in real time via cloud technology. Each caregiver has a list of tasks to accomplish during the shift, the family will be able to see in real time that all activities were completed. If a need arises Beehive Senior Care will notify the family.

• How can I verify a shift was completed?

  Beehive Senior Care uses a telephony system which tracks care in real time. Caregivers clock in and out by calling our telephony phone system. The family can access the account online at any time to see the notes and progress of their loved ones.

• What are the costs of your services?

• Does insurance cover the cost of services?

  Long term care insurance policies will typically cover the cost of home care services. If you’re not sure about your policy contact us 801.207.7979 and we can review your policy with you.

• Are your employees bonded and insured?

  Yes, all of our caregivers are bonded and insured. All caregivers are employed by Beehive Senior Care who is liable if a caregiver were to ever get hurt while in the client's residence. This shields the client from personal liability for the caregiver.

• What is the process for signing up for services?

  Our Process: 

  1. Contact us to schedule a free no obligation assessment. We will discuss the needs, concerns, and goals with you and your family.

  2. After we understand your needs and goals we will work together to create a customized plan of care.

  3. The plan of care will include specific tasks or activities to be completed by the caregiver. The plan will be available in the home and will be communicated daily to the appropriate caregiver.

  4. Match a caregiver that will complement your personality and has the skill set to fit you needs.

  5. The process doesn't end after we implement your plan of care, depending on your needs our registered nurse will typically be visiting ever 2-8 weeks. These visits are planned in order to do a caregiver assessment and update your plan of care.

• Can I change or discontinue the services my loved one receives?

  Yes, at anytime during service we can adjust the plan of care. All care plans are customizable according to the needs of the client and family. Also Beehive Senior Care doesn't use a contract, so services can be discontinued at anytime. In some instances other than death, we require a two week notice of cancelation of services.

• Do you provide short term care?

  Our services last anywhere from a 1 to 24 hours of care during a day, week, and so on. Our care plans are created collaboratively with the clients and their families so that all individuals agree to the amount of care provided by Beehive Senior Care.

• Will I have a choice of who comes to my home?

  Beehive Senior Care will do their best to match the client with a compatible caregiver, however the option to interview and choose from our available caregivers is also available if it would better suit you and your family. Beehive Senior Care understands that this service is a partnership.
